Arifa is a multimedia artist and student herbalist based in Jamaica Plain, MA. Arifa expresses through mediums such as clay, acrylic paint, collage and wax. She is inspired by nature and Afro-diasporic art and life and explores themes such as grief, life cycles, ancestor reverence and nature-based spirituality.

Bring a plant of yours that you’d like to give away or find a new one that you’d like to take home! Lois will be leading the plant swap in the BIPOC led space will talk about repotting plants and also provide educational support on how to take good care of them.
Lois a.k.a. Lola is an educator of over 10 years, teaching topics from creative writing to Urban Gardening 101. She is a 200hr certified yoga instructor, doula, and houseplant & garden consultant. Nothing brings her more joy than sharing her love and knowledge of plants with others.

Moon Beam Steams provides expert guidance, consultation, education, herbs & supplies for vaginal steaming / pelvic steaming, an ancient and global healing modality. Julia also offers support with postpartum planning and a workshop series, "Maidens & Menstruation: Cycle Awareness for Tweens" through the lens of our period being a barometer of health. At Herbstalk you can find Moon Beam Steams with wooden steam seats, steaming herbs, and other botanical self-care goodies; Julia will also be teaching "Herbs for Vaginal Steaming" at 11am.

Bear's Original Pastels: Pastels inspired by nature, meditation, and art therapy
I work primarily in watercolors and pastels, but I do love oils and acrylics as well. I have been drawing and painting since I was little, and my first focus was painting family portraits and the homes we would move into. The people close to us, and the places where we live, tell a story. They are themselves the story in a way. Bright beautiful colors and soft edges are inspiring and have healing qualities. I let the colors inform what ends up being the finished work.
